With my daughter Maya

I am a mother and professional photographer, originally from Japan. I moved to the UK in 1999 and have been here ever since.

As an on-location photographer, I had been providing photographs mainly for magazines and websites in Japan, such as VoCe, Real Design, GQ Japan etc., which I enjoyed very much.

Since I had my daughter Maya in 2008, I started capturing every precious moment of her life. It didn't take long before I started taking photographs of her friends, and then being asked to do more professional shoots from newborn to near-toddler. It seemed only natural to move to baby photography full-time.

Photographing newborns and babies, in my view, shouldn't be limited to formal settings and special occasions. It can be more casual and relaxed so that it can capture everyday faces of your children just as they are enjoying and discovering life.

I aim to provide a service which is a little different from the formal photography taken at a studio by;

• coming to your chosen location where your baby can feel most comfortable and relaxed.
• being ready to wait if your baby is grumpy, sleepy, scared of a camera or is not fit for photographs for any other reason.
• taking my time to find the right moment to capture the best expression on your baby's face.
• setting the prices exceptionally low so you can use my service as often as you like as an extension of your everyday snap shots.
• giving out the data rather than printed photographs so you can send them digitally or print them out as many times as you like.
